NEW!  Experimenting with kintsugi or maki-e painting?  This is a great sampler for you to try 3 decorative metal powder: BRASS, TIN and COPPER.   All are refined decorative metal powder for kintsugi craft and maki-e art.

Sampler includes:

  • Brass 2.5g
  • Copper 2.5g
  • Tin 5g

While pure gold and silver powder remains original and popular, artisans also use a variety of metal powders to create various effects in their maki-e art.

Tin is not as refined as pure gold and silver powder, after polishing, particle texture will still be visible.  Brass is naturally lustrous and polishing is not required.  Copper will tarnish (turning green) overtime, but it can be polished back to shine.

We recommend using pure gold and pure silver for repairing pottery that you would use for food and beverage. Tin, Brass, Copper is not consider food-safe unless it went through special coating treatment.

CAUTION ***Wear protective mask and prevent inhalation of metal fine dusts, as they accumulate in your respiratory system.

Made in Japan.
